The tenth annual Summer Fencing Camp at Brown University by Team Tass is a two week over night and day camp. The program is focused on fencers of all levels in Foil, Epee and Saber from beginners to intermediates and competitors. The age groups start at 10 - 13*, 14 - 17, 18 and over. Age groups are established for rooming purposes only.
*Note that this age group will be accepted to the camp after a personal phone conversation with parents or legal guardians
There will be an excursion to Newport on Saturday, July 24 for campers participating in both sessions. Though most campers elect to stay for both sessions, upon request, this opportunity can also be extended to campers participating in either first or second sessions.
Accommodation is provided at Brown University dormitories. The fee includes, but is not limited to, breakfast, lunch and dinner served at the campus cafeteria.
The program is designed to gradually increase in intensity throughout the program of daily activities. The activities are tailored to assess the individual camper's ability to assimilate the information and work load. Progress is assessed based on the individual's day to day results.
The camp is structured to provide a safe and productive environment. Each of the three daily sessions provide campers with lessons in fencing theory, tactical/technical drills, group lessons, competitions and team events. Between the daily sessions, activities such as soccer, basketball, and running are also planned.
The practice sessions are conducted with electronic scoring equipment. Please bring all of your electric and dry equipment.
The medical forms have been revised for 2010. The completed registration form, the medical and immunization forms, and the Disability and Medical Accommodations form are every participant's responsibility. Please review each form carefully as each one contains very specific instructions. The medical and immunization forms may be presented at check in; however, WITHOUT EXCEPTION, NO CAMPER WILL BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE WITHOUT THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTAITON. If you choose to mail the documents, we recommend that you have copies of all submitted documents available at check-in to avoid unexpected inconveniences.

Required Fencing Equipment
Electric Sabre mask or Foil and Epee mask, plastron (under arm protector). Jacket, knickers, fencing shoes, and/or tennis shoes, socks (3 pair/day), tee shirts, glove (2) if possible, body cords all, electric Foils, Epee, Sable and Sabre or Foil Lames.
Refund Policy
100% refund up to and including May 30, 2010.
50% refund up to and including July 17, 2010.
$50.00 processing fee will apply to all cancellations.
Once the camp begins, there will be no refunds.
